Sewald & Hanfling Launch Local Public Affairs Firm

RD Sewald, a figurehead at Denver City Hall and in the state Capitol, and Josh Hanfling, the latter fresh back from London, have recently launched the public affairs strategy, business development and government relations firm of Sewald Hanfling, LLC.

The Colorado based public affairs strategy firm will serve corporate, non-profit and political entities, drawing on the combined 40 years of government, business and community experience of the firm’s founders to help clients achieve their goals at the local, state and national level.

“RD has a keen ability to build relationships and move people toward consensus. We wish RD and his new business partner, Josh Hanfling, well as they start a new company and continue to serve the community,” commented Gov. John Hickenlooper.

There are a couple of new young guns in Denver’s public affairs strategy, business development and government relations OK Corral.

RD Sewald, a long-time figure at Denver City Hall and the State Capitol, and Josh Hanfling, a well-known participant in the Colorado political, business and nonprofit arenas, have joined forces to create Sewald Hanfling, LLC, a Colorado-based public affairs strategy firm serving corporate, non-profit and political entities.

Hanfling, who dabbled in several businesses since arriving in Denver from Washington, D.C., in 1992, moved to London last year to run a foundation for his best buddy and former boarding school chum.

Two Colorado politicos start new firm

The name of Colorado’s newest political affairs firm doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue but apparently RD Sewald and Jos SewaldHanfling h Hanfling didn’t want to call their venture Two Politically Connected Guys LLC.

Instead, they went with Sewald Hanfling, LLC, a public affairs strategy, business development and government relations firm that launched today.

Sewald most recently worked for Gov. John Hickenlooper, who said in a news release that Seward “has a keen ability to build relationships and move people toward consensus.”
